My 805 had a lot of slack in the steering, about a quarter turn each way. Removed the top steering tube to replace the bearings and it had a stack of shims totaling .060. I replaced the bearings and races and cleaned out the crud. When I replaced the tube with the recommended shims the tube wasn't close to touching so I added another shim for a total of .015. It bolted down but is way to tight,I have no end play. I am wondering if I have the wrong bearings as I remember reading an article on this forum that there are bearings out there that are not quite right. Will it hurt to just keep adding shims, maybe the whole stack will need to go back. The part I received for the very top bearing is a hard donut looking thing,is this a new replacement part for that bearing ? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Gary
