806 diesel

we recently changed a head gasket on our 806 diesel and now have what sounds like a loud rocker arm but all adj. is correct and it goes away as soon as it warms up 30sec. or so. any ideas?

been in the family since new and was majored 500 hrs ago just had a water leakin hd gasket on the out side of the engine

we haven't had it on a pull but there is always black smoke (turbo with a hot pump) the problem is in the #5 cyc If you crack that line so it doesm't hit and never warms up it does it longer but fuel off and the line on it will sound even turning the motor with the starter,
