806 propane

Tractor poor

New User
I have an 806 propane tractor. It runs very well, but is is a pain to fill. I have a large nurse tank to fill from. I was reading a tractor forum and a propane hand pump was mentioned. I have never heard of a hand pump for propane. Do they still make them? Where can I find one? How fast can you move liquified propane with one? I really would appreciate any input. Thanks

Have your propane guy make you a hose to fill from your big tank. I use 20lb bottles to add to mine in case of emergency. Gives me enough to get home or finish small job.

Tractor poor, You really do not need a pump at all, it can be done by lowering the tank pressure in the Filled tank so the nurse tank and fill that tank. A good Filler hose and a Vapor return valve (Bleeder) is all you need to fill a tank of most any kind. Holler at Me, Tomorrow or Sunday and I will visit with you about it. My # is 512-577-3837.

They make a hand pump, brand name is Krug. It would have to be used with a vapor return hose. Be very careful with porpane.

ive got a few LP tractors, and i fill them directly from a 500 gallon tank. only once did i ever have to vent the tractor tank to get it filled.

one trick i always did was fill up in the afternoon when the big tank has sat in the sun all day and i had the tractor in the shed out of the sun. ive filled my 450LP in about 2 minutes that way since the tractor tank is cooler and didnt have near the PSI in it like th ebig one did sitting in the sun
