806 pto

I have an 806 diesel with dual pto. the shafts free wheel all the time unless you have it hooked up to an implement. then they will on turn when you inguage the pto lever. My IT manuel says to remove pto unit from tractor, but do i have to drain the hydraulic fluid out first or just remove unit to fix the problem.

And you will need a big spring compressor to get the drum out . And to put it back together . So ya will need to put a new clutch pac in it and new brake pistons And all the seals and gskt. Then ya need the test fitting to go into the test port and a hyd. pressure gauge that will read up to 600 lbs.. Be careful not to bang the pickup tube when coming out as you MUST tip the ft of the unit up to clear the tube . Ya got more questions on this let me know .

Point the nose of the tractor down a steep slope. By doing this, you will only have to drain a couple gallons. Wayne
