MY 820 GRAIN PLATFORM IS LEVEL ON COMBINE BUT LEFT OF SICKLE IS ABOUT 4 INCHES LOWER THAN RIGHT SIDE TRIED ALL ADJUSTMENTS.JUST GOT THIS ITS NOT ELETRIC. ITS MECH. WITH CABLE ADJUSTMENT. ANY HELP? JIM

Mine was also not quite level and I just adjusted the spring tension until it was level. So my spring settings do not mirror what they recommend. Also installed a small secondary return spring on the transverse tube. Mine wanted to occasionally stick and this screwed up the cutterbar float control. This eliminated the problem. Should note that I removed the heavy dividers because they would flatten the beans or wheat when cutting on a radius. If planting 30 inch beans would probably reinstall them but they certainly stick out a long ways. Originally intended to add weight the the short stubs remaining after removing the long dividers, but determined it was possible to compensate by lowering spring tension.

Check the springs that put the down pressure on, on the back of the head. There is a tube with a tube in it if I remember right, and it can rust and not move, so it is not returning to your setting of the spring. I had one froze up on my 820 when I bought it, and it did the same thing as yours. I had to take that spring and mount completely apart and clean up the slide mechanism and greased it good.
