Hey guys. I got a chance to buy a nice 826 diesel for 5800. It has almost new rear tires, 3 sets of wheel weights, dual remotes, and been painted. I want to make it a hay tractor. Are these a good fit?

But the down side is that the T/A is out. Im not worried about it though. I mow with a 12ft head and and some of my fields are pretty hilly. Does it have the power?

I got a 826 that would make a good fixer upper. $1000 cash. It has no front axle or rear tires, had a cab, has a bad piston or a rod bearing out of it. T/A has been removed so its a 8 speed. Fast hitch is there but been removed but have all the brackets etc etc. PTO was good, someone put hyd oil in the engine,,, it ran for 20 minutes and knocked, it has not ran 10 years,,, I pulled it up to the back of the shop last year,, put a battery in it, shot it with either and it fired right up,,,,,,, its too bad it knocks,, it seems to run real good! It aint dead yet,,,,,,,,,

Tin is alright, someone could take it home on thier way home from Red Power its southwest of Laporte bout 40 miles.

826 geardrive is rated 91hp.should have plenty of power(used to pull 14' with a 706)TA parts are around $1000.You can do the labor, yes you can.its a lotof work, but doable.do it during the winter so you have plenty of time.

I just got my father's IH 656 tractor back from ChadS on Wednesday and boy what a mess! He had it for almost 3 months and had almost destroyed it. When we picked it up it was in pieces and they were spread everywhere, the floor, the footpads, buckets sitting around! I'm still not sure we got all of it! I urged my dad to recheck what little Chad had done and we found to name a few items; broken bolt in pressure plate (new clutch), old torn gaskets....when Chad removed the oil filter housing and govenor housing he just bolted them on the new motor! Didn't even clean off the old gaskets! We found dirt in the block, loose bolts, STRIPPED threads from over tightening! It was insane!

All I can say is he is not his father.......

If anyone wants more info please email me or find my dad at the tractor pulls......

Awful
