84" Finish Mower

Bought a Woods RD8400 about 1999 or 2000. Used it to mow 7 acres every couple of weeks Mar-Oct. Only issue, a couple of wheels needed to be replaced once. Gone through a couple sets of blades. Great mower deck. Been very pleased with it.

I finally found a RD8400 close to where I live at a fairly decent price. Just waiting for the dealership to call me back.

Does anybody have any knowledge with a Caroni brand finish mower?
We have used a 5-ft Caroni behind a 8n for decades. Solid mower that has given great years of service. The belts and blades have been replaced but that's to be expected. Ours has the side discharge on the right. I would definitely recommend it!

Glad to hear you landed on a Woods, you won't be disappointed. I bought a 1985 RM306 for pretty cheap and it's done great. I replaced one idler bearing, replaced the blade hardware with the correct stuff, and added remote grease lines to make greasing it much easier. I've had it 3 years and haven't had any other issues. I wish it was rear discharge and 84", but for the price I paid, it can't be beat. Woods makes good products, in the construction world too. That RD8400 should last you many, many years.

I have Walco Douglas 90".....15 years old. Tough as nails, mows great. Rear discharge. Has a one center mounted wheel top prevent scalping.
Barnes equipment in Missouri is the distributor...that is where I get the very few pars (belts) I need. I'd by another one again in a minute.
