861d air cleaner

Hello, I have a 861d and it has the box looking air cleaner the straps are not holding the bottom up to the top portion of cleaner. And iam also wondering if theirs a seal of some sort that goes in between the bottom and top where they come together. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Jon

Yes, there should be a cork gasket about 1/8 thick that goes between the body and the pan. Or you can cut a few gaskets out of heavy gasket material and stack them. If the clips still don"t seem to make the bands tight enough to reliably hold the pan on, a small stick between the bands and the pan takes up the slack. Good luck!
