looking for advise. I have an 870 Demonstrator Black Knight that leaked water around the sleeve and the results are a spun main bearing. I love the tractor for baling hay (only 15 acres) and putting around the farm. I have had no problems with it for the last 5 years except for the oil pump. I am having trouble finding a new motor for it. only one I found is $6,000.00 and I hate to spend that kind of money for just the motor. Sounds like the drive train isn't the best in these tractors but I haven't had any problems with mine. I figured I could find one with a bad transmission and buy it for the motor but no luck as of yet. Maybe I should try to sell it as is and get a different tractor. I bought it at a good price to find out later that the previous owner spray bombed it case white instead of black. I did research and found it was the Demonstrator tractor for Stroh, IN Case tractor dealer. Any advise on what I should do?
