88 INDUSTRIAL

Came across a yellow Oliver 88 in the corner of a shed when looking at some other machinery. Gas engine, somewhat low profile with pretty large rear tires and a heavy looking front axle setup. No numbers but does anyone have any idea on how unique? I'm assuming an industrial model. Not interested in purchasing, just curious as I have never seen one here in Iowa.

Unique? Not really.

Oliver painted their industrial models yellow, starting with the 1952 models. Most of the industrial tractors have a high speed 5th and 6th gear, so anyone that likes those tractor rides through the countryside would like one. You would have a genuine yellow Oliver that would be able to keep up with most any other tractor. You would have something to talk about.

Their is a 88 gas industrial near me. It is loose and has vey nice tin and the guy wants 450 for it and cant get anyone to look at it.

Hello there, did it have factiory duals, I've seen one with duals and Lull loader. Oh all there but one side panel pump was driven straight from where PTO is with no clutch. Boco

Sounds interesting, wish it wasn't so far away, I'm in spitting distance of the Mighty Mississippi. Where at in New Jersey, would like to know how much it would cost to get it hauled here. Chris
