8n bolt pattern

Does anyone know the bolt pattern of the rears of an 8n? My tractor is 4 hours away, and I am looking at some rims. They have eight lugs. I can not remember how many my 8n has. I need the measurements, so I can go check them out.

" Is the six inches measured by skipping one hole and going to the next hole center to center? "

No.

It's measured across the center of the hub.

The holes are 2.25" center to center apart.

measure as Bruce has said, and measure carefully.
There are turf tires out there that use adapters and
they have 8 lugs, but the pattern is bigger.

Know anybody that has a worn out hub?
I take one with me when looking at wheels. easier

Whoa, slow down a minnit gentlemen;he said rims, you're talking hubs! All Ns used 6 hole ,28" (except very early 32")rims ,either hat style or replacement loop style

I did say rim, but I did not know there where two parts to the rim. I meant how the wheel bolts to the tractor. I looked at some archive pictures, and there are 8 holes.

Yea, besides my tape measure not having the .046 mark, my 2-1949 eyes don't either.

Time to invest in a cheap a$$ digital caliper Bruce. Get one with a [size=18:b87a7a66b5]LARGE[/size:b87a7a66b5] LCD display :P I have also found that full lens magnify safety glasses (not those crappy bi-focal things) are better than sliced bread. I buy them by the box....

Amen to both.

I buy reading glasses at $1 apiece & have them everywhere. BF magnifying glass on the workbench.

Time for Plan B.

I'm not kidding - the Mag-Safe full lens magnifying safety glasses are far better in the shop than my reading glasses. They are also great under a welding helmet and more comfortable than my readers. I have even found myself sitting here typing with them on

Yeah - I woke up to snow yesterday!!! Doubt you will find the glasses at HF but they will have a selection of cheap digital calipers. Spend $20 on one. If you are tempted to spend more look elsewhere for better quality....
