8N Governor linkage hook-up?

MY question:

Does the throttle rod attach to the outside lever on the governor?

Can't find diagram in manual that shows correct attachment.

Had some "help" while working on tractor and now have issues!

Thanks in advance and please no sarcastic remarks, I need honest help.

Rod from throttle control lever goes to governor arm nearest governor body.

Rod from carburetor goes to governor arm nearest to engine block.

"no sarcastic remarks,"

Well, I'm not trying to be sarcastic.....but it would help you get a correct answer if we knew what tractor you are asking about....an OEM 8N or a Funk.

If it's an OEM 8N, the secret code is: "long to long, short to short"

The outside governor arm is long, therefore the long linkage (from the throttle) goes to the long arm.

Look like Bob and Bruce said the same thing. They're both correct.

Charles, you're new here. Everyone will want to help. There are varying degrees of expertise and areas of expertise. Even those some might consider rookies can be learned from when they share their experiences.
It's not helpful to open your very first post with a chip on your shoulder.

Nonetheless... welcome. Take a breath and post back when you get it all sorted out.. or when the next issue comes up.

Charles----an easy way to remember the correct answer to your question is:

LONG rod to LONG arm.

SHORT rod to SHORT arm.

I read the first thing that goes is your memory, and I forgot what the second thing is???

No, we did not. We said the same thing. Read it again.

" I listed question about 8N gorvenor (in title)."
Yes, you did. And, and the end of your post, you said " 48/52 Funk 8N " I've never seen a Funk conversion in anything but an 8N. And, they came in straight 6 & V-8 versions. Hence, my comment.
