8N Rebuild Oil Pump Question

I am rebuilding a 8N 1950 engine. After 3 oil pump orders (manufacturing crap) I finally received one that I could press the gear on with. My question is that now 1 or 2 of the oil pump gear teeth are slightly longer than the others and I have a bad drag will rotating the pump. Is this something I should be concerned
with? I don't want to waste $1500 on a rebuild because of the oil pump. Thanks for any advice.

Wow, they must be crap if some of the teeth are different. The pump should turn smoothly.
Don't take a chance of ruining a new engine. find a new supplier.

Read this please. I find it hard to believe that ANY rebuild kit contains a gear with with any significant difference in tooth height. The teeth might be tall or short but they ae ALL going to be the same:

Seems odd that I just purchased pump gears for my locazl New Holand dealer. I reamed the bushing in place with the fixture from the dealer. I, too found one tooth that contacted the gear housing. I honed it to fit the housing. After honing the other gear and shaft assembly turned freely. Tell me if you think this is a flaw in the manufacturing process? The pump happens to be a early 9N version. Same design, just different gears. Can a pump with higer volume from the 8N version fit in the 9N engine block?
