I have a 900 case diesel tractor with fuel issues. I had the fuel pump rebuilt and changed all the filters. I cleaned the fuel tank and blew out all the lines. I bleed the filters and start the tractor and it runs for maybe 2 minutes and stops. When I check the filters, the first stage filter is full of fuel but the second stage is empty. What is causing this? It will run, though not very well if I open the fuel by pass valve but after awhile even that doesn't work and it stops because it runs out of fuel in the second stage filter. Not good to do anyway as the fuel is bypassing the second stage filter and going directly to the final filter which will plug it up soone3r. Anybody have any ideas what could be causing this. Could it possibly be that something wasn't done properly to the pump during the rebuild lie maybe there's a problem with the fuel transfer pump. Just a thought. I'm at a loss right now.
