930 wont run

Working on a 930 standard that cant seem to get it running. Have fuel at all 3 filters but won"t run. It pumps fuel out of the last filter when cranking it, and fuel pressure gauge goes up to normal. Took the Injector lines off the pump and no fuel. Switched Injector pumps with one I had here and have the same thing going on. Any ideas?

Check if the decompressor lever is engaged.

Is the throttle lever in start(1/4 open) or shut off position while cranking to start? Bandit

I have everything in the correct place so it should start.

just a thought but have you checked the fuel rack? it needs to move freely from no fuel position to full fuel, its under a cap on end of the pump

Can you please tell us what work you were doing to the tractor.

Did you take the pump off or change timing.

If not then you may need to loosen all of the injection lines and bleed them before it will start.

It belongs to a friend of mine. Always ran good, but sat outside for 2 years. Put in new fuel, all new filters. Have good fuel to the injection pump and the fuel pressure gauge goes up when cranking it but have no fuel at the Injector lines. Switched pumps thinking maybe something was stuck internally but didn't make a difference. It will start and run on ether but won't keep running

I would be willing to bet it's the fuel rack, had a 1030,930 and a 830 that all did the same thing take the cap off the rack and spray penetrating oil and work back and forth until free, if you push it in the rack should move back out under spring tension with throttle open. Be prepared if it starts and tries to run wide open to push the rack Back in. Once it runs for a while and circulates oil it will be fine. The easiest way I found was to stand beside the tractor( make sure its in neutral) with the cover off the rack and feather the rack with the tractor running until it moved freely,

I agree. Seen it before. Saw a 600 that sat for 10 years. Fired right off. Pulled shut off. Came back next day. No run. Cleaned up. Popped right off again.
