9n exhaust pipe bracket

I bought a one piece horizontal exhaust pipe/muffler and rear exhaust pipe bracket from this site. What does the bracket bolt to?My old pipe was supported in the rear by some plumber steel pipe support tape attached to one of the bolts from the round inspection plate. The correct bracket looks like it might attach to one of the axle trumpets.

If the hanger you got is the one shown below it bolts to the bottom stud on the center housing/axle trumpet flange. In your case remove the nut from the stud and screw on the standoff I sent you. Then bolt the hanger to the end of the standoff using the nut you just removed

David.......yep, that is correct, rear muffler is supported by bracket to the axle trumpet. 'stedda' being hung from the 6"-roundy dipstick plate.

And remember, the exhaust manifold clamp is THICK side down. (look) We usually recommend supporting the muffle pipe with block of wood and hydraulic pump to gently force the muffler pipe into the exhaust manifold before clamping. Understand??? .......Dell

That's probably not a bolt in the axle trumpet; more than likely, it's a stud. If you do loosen it in the process of attaching the tail pipe hanger, it will drip fluid. Then, you will have heart failure because you will imagine it's a lower lift pin leaking. Make sure it's tight!
