9n no fire

I bought my first tractor the other day. A really nasty looking 9n. It did run real good until I left the key on overnight. Now it has no fire. What is wrong? Did I burn up the coil? Help please!!

Melted coil or burned the points.

Coil, points and maybe the ignition switch. Either way its time to try a few things like first the points. Replace them and maybe you will luck out then try a new coil then go from there.

Yep, like others said, probably burned up at least the points (tip # 38, below). Start w/ replacing them. And, check out tip # 9 also; if you left the gas turned on as well, you could be in for another surprise.
