ac model c carb

i recently put a bran new carb on my model c and i had no success whith my tractor starting this morning i went in the garge and my floor was coverd in gas any idea what the problem is

Most of the new carbs. come from the land of "almost right" (china) take the bowl off and check to see that the float will move freely without binding and that there is nothing in the seat. If you do not find anything take the needle and spin it on the seat a few times to help it seat and that should help. Like I said this stuff comes from the land of "almost right". HTH
