Adding Power beyond to a 2510.

It's not shown in 2510 parts book , 3010 & early 3020, should be same, try JD parts.com. PC 690, sec. 70, page 95..for parts breakdown..
It's called, Auxiliary outlet coupler....

If your looking for a loader hook up adding a tee to the fitting near the clutch pedal and drill and tap the filter bowl is a cheaper way to go. But if your 2510 still has the little 4 piston pump don't expect a quick loader action...

The "fitting near the clutch pedal" bothered me enough I just had to go out to the shop and take a close look at the 2510 I've been looking at for days! The only fitting I see there(Synchro) is a union in the big line feeding the main pump.
When I got my old 4020 the tee was on top of the SCV's.

Yes, Kent I did mean the brake pedal, Darn it,,I really do know my left from my right,, I just did this on an old 3020 the other day,...

OK. So I just took another trek out to the shop. The fitting on the right looks like it's in the flow from the priority valve to the rockshaft valve? Would that get you the same thing as at the top of the SCV's ?

Yes and it makes for a cleaner hook up too, I'll try to get a pic of the one I did last week, I'll need to e-mail it to you, haven't figured out how to get them on here yet..got a bunch of stuff to post when I do....I hope I can do half as good as Walt does :)

Here's some pictures. Paul

Yes, that's it, except I tee mine forward instead of out-ward, and the factory filter return is better, I think it sends the oil in at a better angle, than drilling and taping a regular bowl, but they are pricey, this way of plumbing in for a loader is the best way...

Well the dealer give me a list of parts they used for the 30 & 4010 tractors. The fitting by the brake petal is smaller on the 2510. We added the cast filter can. When we got the longer bolt for that filter can we found out there was not a groove in the bolt at the proper location to use the original filter. Are we missing something in the filter area? Also still looking for some power trol information on a model 50, need a dimension. Thanks to everybody that replied. J.

There are different ported filter covers sizes.
Some associated part numbers are

(AR75603), and one for the longer filter (AR94510)

L55982 COVER (SUB FOR T31170)

Not exactly a AR94510 filter gets this footnote(No search results found) when that part # is inserted in a 2510 parts catalog part # search.

Next this is the only return filter cover I find in the JD parts system which it shows parts key # 4 is T31170 COVER & parts key # 6 is R66068 . This is for the hyd filter AR94510 designed for 40-55 series. There is a longer filter cover part # AT118708 that is only designed for industrial applications.

The groove in the longer bolt is not in the correct position but this is easily remedied. I don't have a lathe so I just chucked the bolt in my drill press and used a hacksaw to cut the groove. You can't tell it from the factory groove. Mike

I have been looking for the part numbers of the parts I used in the pictures below. So far I beleive the "T" is AT26327 at $11.50 in 2005. I also recall I had to use a longer bolt for the ported filter casting but the bolt had to have the threads lengthened. This part is fuzzy but I think we had to also reposition the filter retainer along the length of the bolt. I will continue to look at my records for more information. Paul.

In my folder it looks like the ported cover I used was a T31170 just as noted below. My notes also show "sub to L55982" and my notes show this was used on a 4230 tractor. My notes also show a reference to a 2040 tractor.
OK, now here is where it gets interesting, I recall I ordered two different bolts that hold the ported cover to the tractor. I was having difficulty finding the right length bolt. The numbers I ordered were R65894 at $30.25 in 2005 and R54751 at $18.75 in 2005. I don't recall which one I used. But as I said, which ever it was I still had to lengthen the threads. I hope this helps. Paul

It appears the prices have gone down on both bolts. Maybe these spec's will help.
