Adding solid statew ignition to an older Honda eng

I have a very good G-200 series Honda flat head engine that has the points,condenser and coil under the flywheel. It does not fire after cleaning and gapping the points and also cleaning the coil laminations. I was wondering if anybody had any idea if a soilid state add on like the "Atomic Module" that you use to replace points/condensers on lot of small engines could be used here to run this engine?

I do not know about the Honda, but I used one of STEN'S Mega-Fire electronic convertions on my 1978 Yamaha DT125. All you can do is try on of the modules. If it does not work you may have a bad coil.

Thanks Kent. I suspected that the only way to know would be to try it. Points and condenser are sold in a set only for this engine and cost almost $30.00. Solid State would sure help on that. Gene Davis
