adjusting a 2 spool loader valve

I installed a 2 spool Prince loader valve with closed center on my 4430 JD. How do you adjust the valve? The boom will raise but not lower. The tilt will go down but not back up. Thanks all you techs. Have a nice dqay. Roy

Is your valve operated by using cables or handles on the valve itself? You may have the hoses plumbed incorrectly. Most spool valves I've seen have no adjustment.

where did you plumb your oil return line to? it sounds like it isnt open to a low pressure location.

Thanks for your response. I tied it in just like the old valve that was installed way back when. The in and out ports were the same. Roy

IS the cable adjusted so that it can move the spool in both directions fully?

I thought the same thing when I asked him if the spool valve was cable or handle operated.

Thanks all you techs. I found the problem today. One of the hyd hoses was not making a good connection. Roy
