Agco Strikes Revisted

Cotemplating contacting AGCO by registered mail and on their web site about a dealer charging me $151.00 dollars to return a part which I never picked up. Every time I think about it makes my stomach churn.
Question: should I identify the dealer to AGCO and would it do any good Yes or No.
Is there any type of continuity between the parent company and the dealers or do the dealers operate independently. I would like to try to get my money back if at all possible
Who is the CEO of AGCO
Thanks for your inputs.

How did they get your money? You have an account with them linked to your checking account? If it is completely off the wall, tell the owner of the dealership the whole story, his computer should spot it. If he is ignorant, try calling/emailing the area AGCO distributor if you can. They don't like thieves any more than we do. The Better Business Bureau will get the dealer and distributor's attention, they might even find you a free lawyer, but I bet once someone checks the computer files, this will get cleared up soon. Don't worry about bad press for him, get your money back first!

what was the part? Was it big and expensive? the dealer probably had to pay shipping to get it and shipping to send it back if its not something they would normally stock,Here at the dealership I work at we charge a restocking fee for special order parts that are returned.

You want the head of marketing,he has an interest in making you happy, the CEO will never see your letter.

As I just re-read your post- did you ORDER a part worth 151 bucks? And changed your mind? Then that is up to company policy I suppose. If it is a rarely sold one of a kind special order.. they don't want to eat the cost and stick it on a shelf till next time. You'd best be nice and polite to who ever you talk to! Good luck!

You think the CEO Martin Richenhagen of a global company like AGCO is going to receive/read/act on your $150 fee? I don't mean to be rude, but come on - AGCO is an $11 BILLION dollar company and you are wanting to fuss to the CEO for $150 which is about .0000014% of the earnings. It sounds like you ordered the part and didn't want it any longer. If the dealer ordered on a stock parts order, it was free shipping. If they expedited or placed special order, there would be a freight charge. Check your dealer's terms before you place such orders.
