I need the tip off a akron et. seagraves nozzel it is the straight type- any bore / it's the 2 1/2 " nozzle used on an old fire to spray-- odd ball threads== any help?? in the northeast NY please

Akron Brass is still in business. Maybe they can help you.

Do you need just the tip, or the whole nozzle? If it's the whole nozzle, there have been literally hundreds of different fire hose threads used in this country, so look for any markings that can help identify it.

*Most* 2-1/2" fire hose threading will be National Standard. Older ones marked NH (National Hose), newer ones NST (National Standard Thread).

Here's a good reference with the major threads found in the fire service:

If you're needing adapters, check with Kochek -- http://www.kochek.com/PROD2.htm . They're run by a retired volunteer Fire Chief whose machine shop ended up specializing in Fire Service work.

In northeast NY maybe you can check at some of the old NIMO hydro plants, they had alot of the old firegear and might have something kicking around that they would donate.
