One of the places I rented for thsi comming season comes with an AC 90 combine if I can get it to work. My tractor is a 35 hp diesel. I was wondering if I could pull it with that tractor. I was thinking about doing some soy beans for animal feed about 5 acres.

Well.....kinda depends. If your tractor is a newer, compact rig with a high speed diesel, nope. If it is something like an A JD, WD45 Allis, M farmall, or something like them, only if the 90 is in a light crop. 35hp would be fine for a 60 allcrop, but a 90 really works best around 50hp on it.

If you need parts or advice, allcropharvester.com is one of many great sights for any all crops!
Just rambling, hope this helps!
Ralph.

I have a 90 and I absolutley love it. It handled 60 bushel beans with the full 9.5 foot head. We did notice that there was less fluctuation of cylinder speed with about a 55-60hp tractor. I think the most dificult thing with a 35 hp tractor is weight on hills vs. weight of the combine with a full bin. I think your 35 hp tractor will handle it hp wise. The weight might push the tractor around.
