Allis 60 Straw spreader

I still use my old 60 every year on soybeans, but the lack of a straw speader makes plowing for wheat after the beans difficult with clumps of fodder plugging the plow. Does anyone have a straw speader attachment? I have a draper type pickup for the machine but never used it, would trade or sell it. Great old combine, does everything I need on my 8 acres.

I have a straw spreader on my parts 60 and would like to have a pickup for my 66. Would be willing to make a deal. Could you send pictures of the pickup so it is what I am thinking and see if it would work on a 66. Would be willing to do the same for the spreader.

Pickup should not fit- 66 is 6 inches wider than the 60. Rats!

I would prefer to put it on my 66 because of the bigger bin but could put it on my 60A.

Just noticed the original poster said he had a 'draper' pickup for his. The 60 we had used a pickup with steel bars and fingers. Our 66 had the rubber 'draper', and was better because grain that fell out of the windrow still entered the combine. With steel bars, it ran down to the ground. Maybe poster's draper is for a 66. Mine has one, draper is rotted, and I told a neighbor he could have the combine for parts for his. Are they hard to find by you? I have a neighbor who has 5-10 of 60,66 models, plus some SP Gleaners.

The first 2 All Crops I bought came with a pickup that looked like a baler pickup. I can have it and should go get it but the owner said it had problems and is in pieces. When you say a bar type pickup I am thinking like the Sund pickup we used on harvest in the Dakotas. Those were preferred because they wouldn't pickup rocks. I have seen pictures of the draper type and wouldn't worry here because we don't have rocks. There seemed to be hundreds of All Crops here in their time and quite a few seem to be around but this one is the only pickup I have seen for them. I am trying to establish wildflower seed to harvest and think that maybe it would work better to windrow it to dry out even.

I am not too good at posting pictures on this site, but if you send me an email I'll send you one. The pick up is called a draper style in the Allis combine book I have. It is actually two chains with cross bars and spirng fingers on them. Kind of like the pick ups on some real early hay balers. It looks like it was never used much, and I have had it stored under cover since I got it with the combiine 15 years ago.
