Allis Chalmer H3 Crawler 1962

Hello,
Is a H3 crawler a good piece for a hobby farm use?

Would 6,000 hours be excessive for that type of machine?

What would it be worth?

Thanks,

An H3 is a very nice little dozer. Based on a D-15 tractor so engine and tranny parts are easy to get. I use mine alot. No of is not as important as condition is. Tracks and rollers are expensive to repair. Check their condition carefully.

Value is between $2000 and $6000 depending on condition.

Tranny parts (gears, shift collars) are impossible to get, unless used. ALL the gears in the H3 tranny are different than the D15 - different tooth numbers for different gear ratios. Bearings and seals are easy, but everything else is bad news.

H3 is economical to operate - my 1961 is going to anew home soon as an HD6 replacement is located - undercarriage 75 percent
