Allis chalmers 310

There is an allis chalmers 310 garden tractor for sale by where i live. It has a sleve hitch,snow blade and head lights. it hasent ran in 3 years and needs work. The hood is really rusty but the rest of the tractor is not to bad. the guy is asking $200. he has a guy interested in then 310. he said If he doesent sell it by thrsday i can have it for $125. Does sound like to much money or a good deal.

That's not a bad deal. That series was a very dependable one. Many parts are still available and they are still better than most new machines out there. Look on ebay for parts.

you can part it out for more than that ,the steering gear box will bring 2-250.00

Not a bad deal if everything works, I have one and the local Simplicity dealer told me that a lot of parts for the rear end on the tractor were not available any more. Don't know for sure what he was referring to, just said rear end parts are hard to get.
