Allis Chalmers G timing

Just got a new to me G and gave it had no spark. Did a tune up on it and now I have spark but I must be out of time. Which cylinder is 1? The hand crank end or the radiator end? On the distributor where would one fire? I remeber that these are different than the other Allis Chalmers on this but can't quite remeber how.

Does anybody know of any links that show how to time a G?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I typed the above post around 6PM, but never posed it. I promise that this is simply incredable. I should have looked before I posted. No, I don't expect anyone to believe this either.

I do wonder what the odds are.

Number 1 is at the end you find the crankshaft pulley and timing gear cover. On the G you find this at the rear. Timing mark will be a notch in the crankshaft pulley. TDC (top dead center) on the compression stroke.
