I don't know how to get the arms that hold implaments on the rear of my tractor to raise and lower. The hydrolic lines are solid and fluid is full. My manual shows the lever to be on the left side of the steering wheel but it moves quite stiffly. Am I not doing something correctly or maybe it is broken? Thankyou in advance for any help.

Yes that is the lever, follow it through the linkage to the pump. Sometimes you will find bent and bound up linkage, or you may have a pump problem. Get an operators manual to see how to set the pump and traction boost system.

The lift Arms lower by Gravity or the weight of the attached Plow etc. The are raised by the high pressure cylinders which are attached forward of the foot platform. The arcing Quadrant arm on the left side of the steering wheel in the full up position causes the pump to push fluid to these cylinders. No matter the setting of the Traction booster system you should still have a vertical lift and a release of the fluid by using this arm. My thinking is something is diconnected,broken,bent in the connections of the Arm ,probably under the tractor. On the side of the battery box should be a schematic for the Traction Booster unless your Tractor has been repainted and this diagram was not replaced. Traction booster is a simple system and is almost fault free in my experience's. Check the linkage ,something is telling the pump to "Pump" JC

I believe that there is a valve on the right side, in front of the brake pedals, that allows you to chose between using the arms in the back or a loader in the front. Check it out, because I am not very familiar with the WD.

When you move that lever do you have the clutch pedal up or down. If you have the pedal down it will not work the WD does not have live hyds. Other wise you need to look at things and see if you have bent or broken linkage or even something loose.

WD has live pto and hydraulics via the hand clutch. Not independent. There is a difference. Anytime you can stop tractor wheel motion without stopping pto/hydraulics- they are live. Independent means you can START them at anytime.

Check if there is still a decal on the right side of the battery box- explains hydraulic settings and operation. If it is gone- you will find the same info in the operator manual. Four screws (ABCD) to set to give various options. Might be set wrong, linkage binding, bent, etc.

I know the difference in the two of them but in this case he has a hyd problem and if he pushes the clutch pedal down and trys to work them they will not work
