Allis Chamlers D21

I can't answer your question, but I will tell you that D21's were a beautiful piece of machinery. There was a restored one at a local tractor show and it was one of the best restorations I have seen..what a great tractor...and I'm a Farmall lover!

I believe the series II was replaced by the 220. Agree with Michael, it is the only A/C I ever desired to own. Alas, the better half says I should be content with the sales literature.

I knew that I had arrived when as a teenager I graduated from working for a farmer with a R JD to getting to operate a D 21. Don't get me wrong, the R JD is one sweet girl but a D 21 AC is the 'Belle of the Ball'.

I agree. I'm an Oliver man,but when that D 21 came out,WOW,what a tractor. The local Allis dealer had one in the showroom. Dad and all the neighbors said it was too big a tractor for these parts. Was made for out west. I know where there's one right now,I think all they do with the old gal is move round bales. Times sure change.

Ran 4 different one's and they were a hoss. Very comfortable to operate and I'm psoitive that the series II was the latest and the greatest. Weak point was the bottom end of the engine.
