Allis G serial #

Ihave what I thought was a 52 allis g. I can't read the number and wodered how many digits All I can read is G1695, what am I missing and any suggestions.I pulled the seat off trying to read.

Joe,so you are saying it is a late 49 model? I really didn't think there was nothing after the G1695. Thanks for your help.
 
pretty good chance, if you look at the numbers, 20,000 of the 29,000 built were in the first two years
 
If ya grinds it off, and re-stamps it, make sure you get the stamps right side up, they should read from the same direction ,as the G does!
 
I have rescued two from a closed alligator farm in central FL. One is # 29660 and the other has no number even though the original paint is still in the serial # block. Some suggested that it might be a prototype but I have no experience with these tractors to know if that is possible. Anyways, it appears that they are one of the first and one of the last.
