I recently bought a 49 G that had been sitting for 8 years. After going thru and tuning it up, I noticed I wasn't getting compression and could see stuck valves thru the spark plug holes. Prior to this when cranking over I had a "tough spot" every 1 revolution of the crank, so I put marvel mystery oil in each of the cylinders to let her sit and that freed her up. I then began to spray Sea foam "Deep Creep" onto the valve stems I could see thru the holes and managed to get 2 of the 4 valves I could see to move up and down. 2 others will move down if I tap them down but then will stick open.
Any suggestions? Need more lube or broken valve springs? I assume I can get at the valve train thru the side cover and by taking off the head? Anything else I should know? Thanks!
