Here's an old picture of the rear of my tractor that I had on hand, may give you some ideas. The hitch is adjustable for length and height. It's tied into the rear end and frame allong with weight brackets and bars. I'll try and take some more and post up when I get time.
 
Both these hitches would not pass tech in Ohio or NATPA you should look at the hitch rules under NATPA.com I am not cut down anybodys hitch just that the rules willnot let us run those type hitches.

Yes Barns right . Some places dont want any part of the wheelie bar attached to the pulling hitch . My Hitch is the worse for this reason. If the center link can move and reduce angle as the front wheels are raising higher off the ground then the hitch height is raising as well.
