This was my oldest brother's gun, we used to go hunting years ago frequently. I bought a 22 mag. Winchester lever action and the next time I seen him he had this 22 semiauto. He died in 1993 and I bought his Ruger pistol from his wife, she delivered it to me and gave me this rifle, keep it or pitch it, it's junk and it was. Rear stock broke off, front plastic sight and mag. tubes supports broke and inner and outer tubes both bent. I took it all apart and it looked like a total to me, stuck the pieces in a box and shoved it in a cupboard until I found it year before last. Found the stocks on E Bay for about 25 bucks but there not walnut like originals, took forever to get the mag. tubes straight, found the frt. sight on the internet for 40 bucks but they suggested you send the barrel and have them install it for another 50 bucks, out of stock anyway. The knob on inner mag. tube was broken and I didn't want to give 40 bucks so I made one. I pinned the sight and ring around the tube together, formed it up and poured it full of JB weld and spent days trying to file it back to the original profile, needed a pin to hold the outer mag tube in and just happened to have a tool box full plastic brush holder pins for Delco alternators. That's the white pin in the end of the barrel. His gun and mine looked identical except for mine had the lever action and checkered stocks, pretty guns.
