Another Hyd. Hose Question

I have a Freeman trip-bucket loader on my 1952 WD. If I replace the old 1/2" hoses to the loader lift cylinders with 3/8" hose, will the loader lift faster? Gain or lose power?

Pressure & thus lift force will stay the same. However, due to smaller diameter, oil flow/speed will be approx half.

Lift speed it determined by pump gallon per
minute rating at a specific RPM. putting smaller
inside diameter hose on..chokes the flow down,
makes the pump work harder trying to push flow
through a smaller opening, and results in heat
buildup !

Going small can/will cause more troubles and there is no reason to go smaller. Stick with the 1/2 inch hoses because the flow will be better and the heat will say lower etc.
