Another MF65 Diesel

My MF65 Diesel does not start unless starter fluid is used; sometimes not even then. Last time it was used, it sputtered and quit after being used about 2 hours. Could it be the injectors are clogged?

Need more info to help you. Could be anything from slap dab wore out, to run out of fuel, water in fuel, algae bloom in fuel, clogged fuel filter, wore out lift pump, ruined from using too much starting fluid (the Perkins dont like the stuff), or anything else. Give us condition of tractor, hours, how long you have owned it, when last used, what kind of maintenance, etc. Tom

No diesel engine likes either. I've ran a 135 & a 1100 for almost 20 years, both never using either, only a block heater. Either one would start down to around 0 deg just running the block heater for 30 minutes. Granted, we never used a set of injectors for more than 3 or 4 years without having them checked.
