Another test picture

I think that I have passed the test on how to up-load a picture on this site. The test now is to see if anybody looks at it.

This is the "20" series displayed on the street of Boyne City, Michigan before the fourth of July Parade.

You folks are really paying attention to the numbers but if you look close you will see that the ones in the garage are all "30" series. These are the "20" series and you are all right I am short a 820.

Dear Bob and others, Thank you for your kind words. I think at this time that the 20 and 30 series will be the end of my tractor collecting. One has to draw a line somewhere. I am now trying to put together some plows and other tools with them and I will post some pictures later of where we are with that project. I have been doing this for many years and each tractor has it's own story and some are very interesting. I don't necessarily have to have rare tractors but I have tried to buy low hour tractors in the best shape that I could find and go from there and do the very best to get them as good or better than new.

My farm is west of Flint, Michigan at a little town of Swartz Creek. My wife and I have a little place up on Lake Charlevoix and spend as much time up there as we can in the Summer. Boyne City is a neat little town, not on the way to anywhere so you have to be on a mission when you go there. It is also like going back in time about fifty years. If you could see to the left of that picture their is a Ford Dealership that would hold perhaps three cars in the showroom and maybe six in the service area. It is one of those little towns left that you soon know half of the people in town and the other half seem to know you.
Someone else asked on one of the other postings if the 9430 is the only tractor I use to farm with and the answer is no, I have a 8100 for a planting tractor and a 4850 that is used for a spare if I should need one. I seem to do a lot of slip-seating it. Sincerely, Tom

The guy that bought my mt was very wealthy. As he told me on the phone " These old tractors are better than putting money in the bank . There value just keeps going up." He sent someone to pick it up . Bought it just from looking at the pictures.

Hey Tom, thanks for the pics-outstanding. It is nice when one can afford to do stuff he likes and share with us yabbos. I've got a Model 60 that I have had since '71 (done some restoration work to it and it lives in a heated garage-retired from working for me)and a couple other 'toys'. Health, Peace & Happiness. B
