Slim is that spear on your good looking bale spear a axel shaft from a full floting truck rear axel . if so what sise truck. thanks for the idea. wayne

I found the axle in the junk yard, not sure what it came off of. I designed this bale spear to be lightweigt. I can pick it up and carry it across the yard yet it is strong enough to pick up a tight rolled 4x5 round bale. Rather than welding the axle to the frame I drilled through it and mounted it with 2 grade 8 bolts. I had people tell me when I was building it that it wouldn't work, but I've been using it for a long time with no trouble.
