Just getting an opinion on different weight brakcet that everyone has. I am looking to build some for my 960 narrow front Ford. Any thought or pics are welcome. Looking at the front, back, & maybe the middle. I don't want to gain too much weight with the brackets so the lighter the better.

Rob, I"m currently building a 960. I"lltry to take pictures of the front weight backet i have built, it"s simple 1/2 X 3 flat stock connects to two side frame holes on each side and the lower two bolts on the front. Main front piece is 1/2 x 6. Mounts ford 100 lb suitcase weights great. I have two mid mounts which are a T configuration of 1/2 x6 with enough room to put 3 weights on each side.

My rear weight bracket is under and slightly ahead of the rear axel It attaches to my hitch which is custom built and also ties the two rear pedestals together.

Hard to explain, I"ll try to get pictures, e-mail me at the above address

You don't have to make a front bracket. Ford made one for you at 30 lbs. Plenty of them at salvage yards. You might have to re-drill some bolt holes. Secure with three 5/8-11 x 1 inch bolts to the front of the pedestal.
