Any idea who made these?

I've got two gadgets out in the drawer. THey have a logo but no name on them. The logo is an A and an R inside a circle. The right leg of the A is upright so that it also makes the left side of the R. I've got it in my head that I've seen that logo somewhere else recently, but can't for the life of me remember where. I think it was a catalog, but which one????

Both are in stainless. One is a 4" pocket slide caliper, has a number 1045 on it, labeled as The Executive Pocket Chum, with a decimal equivalent chart on the back.

The other is a rule and angle gauge called The Executive Pocket Pal. It, too has a decimal equivalent table on the back as well as a scale on the edge that I can't figure out, but no part number anywhere.

Anybody recognize the logo or have any ideas?

My father has both those,so I called him but he has no idea where he got them.Same marking and Made in USA.He said the caliper is 32nds and mm on other side.He still uses it.
