Apple Country

WC pulling

New User
Is Apple Country allowing topcut tires at arden this year? and does anybody have any information on the sunday pull with the mountain men? gotta figure out how long im staying this year if i decide that im going at all.

Thanks,

Depends on who you are. My brother and I pulled at fair with them. They DQ"d us for top cuts, did not 5 others with top cuts, but they club members. Rules say no top cuts. Mtn men will pull Sunday, I say they will let anything go. They also rode the brakes on the sled on my brother, they are getting bad for this.

You need to tell the whole story, if somebody would have protested those other tires if they were cut they would have been DQ'd just the same. As for your brother he took off runnin about 7 mph and the speed limit is 4mph thats the reason the sled operator stopped him with the brakes, then he was allowed to repull. For anybody that wants to come to arden this year the pull will be held inside the davis arena and not outside. Apple Country has not changed any rules, they are the same they have always been, so everyone is welcome to come and pull and have a good time.

The whole story is we did protest everyone, but of course no one did anything. We walked around and showed the president every tractor with cut tires. As far as him getting the brakes held on, we were already pulling exhibition, and the announcer said any speed since your pulling exhibition. He pulled the same speed when he got to repull, so what was the difference. It was just a case of holding a grudge against two people for some reason, maybe jealousy, and not wanting to get showed up. We went up there to have a good time and to socialize with people, knowing what the rules were and not expecting to win anything, but when we were singled out, and made a fool of, that is when things weren't cool anymore. That is the WHOLE story!

Two more things:
1. We were not protested, we were told before we pulled that we were pulling exhibition.
2. Why did he ride the brakes on two other people that were not going over 4mph. One on a creeper gear JD.

You were told to pull exhibition because you had tires that were obviosly cut. He did not RIDE the brakes on anybody, he stopped them with the brakes because they didn't hear the horn blowing or chose to ignore it or didn't stop when the flagman said to.

Why bother stopping him at all? Was he in danger of running off the end of the track into a lake or spectator? If he's already DQ'd let em run.

You can keep on making up a story as you go to save face for the club, This is not the first time brakes have been applied to people for no reason by this person. He likes applying the breaks just because he can to see how mad people can get. I rode that sled for more hours than you been pulling, and have yet to touch the brakes for any purpose. Get the horn working, or hook it up, and you won"t have to worry about slowing people down. How do you know he was going 7mph if you were not on the sled?

You think you know everything but you don't. I've rode that sled a fair bit myself and I've been pulling longer than you think and I remember the way you used to run things when you were there and one time you tried to DQ somebody for 2 rpms over and the way the rpm checker mysteriesly broke when you had checked everyone except your brothers G. You forget there is a moniter in the office that reads distance and mph thats how I know. Ya'll didn't get your way so you had to run your mouth about it on the computer, and I'm done arguing about it. If you want to argue come to Arden in october and we'll discuss it face to face.

If I knew who face to face was, I would!
Here's All I am saying before and now.
RULES are RULES follow them ALL for everybody or nobody.
I done told you, we were not expecting to win, because of the rule, but when we got singled out that is when we got aggravated.
I answered the OP's question as honest as I could, and am now just warning everyone if they come pull with Apple Country, know that rules don't apply to everyone. SO come have fun!

Dont pay any attention to this idiot.this is the first time they have pulled with this club this year.when things dont go their way this is what happens.so come to the show in oct.and have fun maybe they will go to northbrook.

Well the last comment there "maybe they will go to North Brook" .. I dont know what that is suppost to mean but i pull at north brook and i am a member and we dont have any problems with tires or riding the brakes on the sled because we dont have any brakes. We have a good pull and invite anybody to come and pull with us on the 3rd saturday of the month March thru November. Pull starts at noon in November and March and 4 pm April thru October.

I agree with wc puller. Northbrook has a great turn out of all makes of tractor and is one of the best places to pull in NC/SC.

WAIT a minute.im not cutting northbrook.great group of people . i have pulled many times with them no problems.I was just saying that they can stay down there instead of up here causing problems.and if they dont come they wont be missed.were still going to have a good pull in oct.

I wasn"t going to reply anymore to give yall the satisfaction, but I changed my mind. Everyone, we are the Franklins they are talking about, you know we cause problems everywhere we go lol. I don"t know who wfo or jci are but, we didn"t cause any problems at the Fair or at any other Apple country pull, your the ones that picked on us! It is also a funny thing to me that your chairman called us this summer wanting us to come pull with yall to help save the pull and have more workers. I am sure we want be missed, but I will will miss yall, all the friends and fellowship we had with the apple country folks, some the best friends I have had until now. As far as me being an idiot, I have a college degree from NC State, you know they hand out diplomas on every street corner.
