I just picked up one of these cheap. Didn't have any spark. Pulled the flywheel and the points were corroded. Clean them up, checked them with my dvm without the coil-condensor hooked and they're contacting now. Put it back together and still no spark. How many ohms is the coil supposed to be? I've got 20 milliohms. The amrmature is rusting and the laminations are seperating a little, but I should get something. The flywheel magnets seem strong enough.
Also, I can't find any numbers on the blower housing or anywhere else the Tec. manual shows. I'm assuming it's a HSK 70. Can anyone verify this from the Ariens model number?
