attach backhoe to 656

attaching backhoe to 656 utilty have a loader on it now have to sets of hydraulics on the back have tried to just unplug loader and attach backhoe doesnt want to work correctly any thoughts

IF you have just plugged it in you will have to tie the lever to keep the valves on the hoe working. The pressure at the end of the cylinder stroke will trip the detent like the one on your plow or disc will. IF you are trying to put an industrial type hoe on there you will be lacking pump volume to work it and be happy with the performance. Another words if you are trying to use a hoe from like a 10 series tractor loader backhoe or off a case same thing it will be pretty heavy for the 3pt and needs much more pump and pressure than you will get from most farm tractors of that era. hoe pressures will be in the 2000-2500 PSI and volumes of more like in the 20-30GPM which most tractors were more like 10-15GPM with 1500-2100 PSI. So other than that describe not working right.Jerking or lagging at function or what.
