I think it is an avery. I found the engine plate washed and can barely read it.

I think the numbers is right. Didn't find the serial nu. Need help to identify. Thanks for any help.

Hal"s right; the IXK3 is a Herc.

If it is an Avery it is an early model A. It could also be a Wards Twin Row or a Cletrac General. the numbers 006 & 008 are the valve clearances, 3-1/8 X 4 is the bore and stroke. IXK 3 indicates it is a Hercules with 3 timing gears instead of 5
