B Generator Band

Does anyone know where I can find the band that goes around the rear end of a 6 volt generator on my mid 40s B? Mine rusted off on a project I'm working on.

That generator would be a Delco which was used on Allis-Chalmers, IH, as well as John Deere, so that opens up several avenues for you to explore. I did see those bands advertised somewhere just recently. I'll do some digging.

Stop by your local starter repair shop. They will more than likely have one. They are fairly universal.

I have replaced quite a few of those on our rebuilds. Those bands should be easy to find. There are a few different styles. The kind that just snaps in place is the common replacement. Some had a screw that held the cover band ends together. Send me an email if you can't find one.
