Does anyone know who the manufacturer of this back blade is? I"m looking for something like this to plow back the top of snow banks.

My front blade only lifts 6 inches and I thought with an offset back blade I could reach out over the drainage ditches with out ending up in them.

Thanks in advance,

Jack

That looks almost exactly like one I just sold. Pretty old and I'm fairy sure the company that manufactured them is out of business. Don't remember the name, but it was made in Neodesha, Kansas. Something like Independent mfg.

Many years ago we pushed the tops of snowbanks back by chaining a couple of 2X? about 12 feet long to our 6 foot back blade with all of the extra length on the shoulder side. Since we weren't trying for clean plowing it worked good enough and was cheap.
Just an idea to consider if you don't find what you want.

I have one that looks very similar, but it does not have any kind of a tag or name on it. Your paint is also lots better than mine. It came with a tractor I bought and I have no idea what the brand or manufacturer was. I just know it is many times the blade that my other back blade is.

It is a tough, heavy blade that seems to take anything I ask it to do without breaking. It works pretty good on tilled soil, but will not dig deep enough on undisturbed earth. I have found that I need to pay attention to the tightness of the bolts that adjust the position of the blade. They seem to come loose over time and then the blade tends to center itself.

I have plowed snow with my back blade for years. Sometimes I turn it around to back up into the piles, but mostly I just plow to the sides. One pass to the right side and coming back to the other side. When I plow the county road, I have to make one up and down pass near the middle of the road and then clear the edges in a second up and down pass. My neighbors sure do appreciate it and there are times that we would not get out if I didn't bother. Don't know how much of that I can afford after this with diesel costing about $5/gallon!

Hope you enjoy your blade. My blade is one of my few possessions that is not for sale--it is just too useful to me!

Thanks everybody for your responses. I will certainy check out the King Kutter although it says it adjusts up 12 inches. I was hoping for a little more reach.

I have one just like the one in your photo (not as pretty). I don't recall ever seeing a tag on it. I've used it for snowplowing, grading the driveway, pushing dirt piles and moving logs around, since I don't own a skidder. Mine was set in the middle and I've never had a reason to change it. This impelment has taken a lot of abuse over the years and haven't broke anything yet. I haven't seen another like it until your photo. I will check for the tag today and post back if there is one but I would venture to say they are out of business.

I used to sell those Blades. They were made by a company called World Agritech in Ohio. I think they changed their name to something like International (something). Last dealer I knew of was DL Farm Equipment outside of Denver (303-288-2641) Not sure if either is still in business.
