My buddy was able to make it out to my land on his way home for the weekend with his welding truck. All it needed was a rosebud to get the ear hot enough. The first thing he said though was that the grease fitting location was a definite stress riser. We used the rosebud and the weed burner to heat it. Took about 10 to 15 minutes. Wasn't glowing red hot though. Hooked a 2" ratchet strap to a piece of pipe and anchored it to the tractor. Got it dead on in both directions on the first try. Once it cooled, we tacked the top bushing in place and braced it so it can't move. Cost me a supper and $100 for gas. More than resonable considering he normally charges about $85/hr not including travel time. That's what good friends will do for you! Thanks to Puddles, Bison, even Trucker and a couple others that understood what I was trying to do and offered good advice rather than critisism.

Who's always tried to rub who's nose in it? Anytime you've ever responded to my posts, you've been a sarcastic, critisizing a$$. Then you make a post personally calling out a YT parts person being the same sarcastic, critisizing a$$ and looking for sympathy on the YT forum. You even go so far as to say you're never going to buy parts from them again and buy from their competition from now on. Seriously, why are you still on the YT forum? It's time for you to leave if you're so unhappy with YT. You can't have it both ways. I guess it sucks to be you if your parts supplier doesn't have a forum but I think you burned your bridges on this one.

Well at least you got it fixed.Thats not bad for 100 dollars.It costed me more than that to get my truck towed 10 miles home when it threw a pushrod and wrapped it around the cam on a N 14 Cummins.
I had 6 or 800 dollars shop bills or more a lot of times on my truck.There is not much you can do when you are 1000 miles from home and it quits running because of some sensor and its 2 AM and you have to be there the next day.
Back in the 1970s I was working for a guy that tore the boom off of an old 580 Case backhoe and helped a welder put it back together and had it ready by the next morning and that was several hundred dollars back then,maybe 300.Plus he welded plates on both sides to reinforce it and spent a good 4 hours just welding.

$100 to have a guy drive about an hour out of his way with a welding truck and then stay for about 3 hours to help me is cheap! I could see this costing me a couple thousand dollars or more if I'd taken it to a shop to have done. They could have said to replace both top and bottom plates and then line bore it after it's welded and get a new torque arm, etc., etc. Shop rates up here are $100/hr+! The one shop wanted $100 just to drill and ream one 1 3/16" hole! I ended up having to take my line up pin to have turned down a bit to a shop. That cost $40.
