Baiting Squirrel Trap

peanut butter on a corn cob,put in the back of the rocker pan. makes them work at it ,they will trip the pan.

The Grey's and Foxes here like the sunflower seeds. If they're not on the ground picking up the crums from the feeder, they are taking turns hanging on the suit cake feeders (no squirrel guard on them).

Get a squirrel proof bird feeder, hang it high, fill it with bird seed. The red's always seem to get in, but not out. Twice this year.

Apples or most any thing when the snow is on the ground. Latest I fed them was stale chips.

I traped for 2 months with every bait I could use without catching a one. When I finaly caught one,I set a secound trap beside the first and caught another within 24 hours. Long story short,I caught 5 more over the next 2 weeks by leaving the most recent bodies in the traps as lures. When a friend borrowed my trap I told him about using a dead squrillel as a lure. He shot one at a nearby orchard (not safe to shoot in his yard) and used it with good results.
