Basement Pellet Burner

I spend a lot of time in our 1000 sq. ft. basement, (half of it is finished off). While our forced air heating system does an adequate job, I often think how cozy a wood burner would make my cave.

Not a wood stove, but what size and brand bare bones pellet burner would you suggest? It could be on the small side. The simpler the better. Much chance of finding a good used one?

Thank you,
Glenn F.

Depending on if you have a window that would work for it Orchlens has a window unit pellet stove. Sort of like a window A/C unit but for heat instead

What Rich mentioned is real interesting, a friend has lived in a really nice apartment since we were in our early 20's, time sure does fly, but we spoke about a pellet stove for the bottom level that has windows, no exhaust pipe needed. Would be ideal and really help make it comfortable when its bitter cold. This level has an entrance on grade level and windows, perfect, I am going to mention it to him.

I have seen several of the Harman pellet stoves demonstrated locally at a shop east of here, they seem to be worth looking at. My friend installed one in his basement, different brand, really would like to switch to a Harman. His place has an entrance on grade level too, so its perfect and dried out that basement, made it cozy, him and his son have claimed it for a man cave, pellet stove worked out nicely.
