Who makes the best battery charger the kind with 2 wheels that charges 6 and 12 volt? Is Napa any good? Thanks and God Bless
He was asking about the best battery charger. The DCA 8000 is probably one of the best but it comes at a cost. Depends if he wants a good battery charger or if he wants a high end one that wil do everything. I still think Associated is probably the best you will find without a 6k pricetag. For that money he could buy a couple batteries and charge them on a tractor to keep them charged or use a maintainer for them.
I have one also good charger, I keep it in the shop. Have a few solor that are older and keep them in other tractor sheds for n case I need it.Associated. Spendy but good.
This is a good place to narrow it down.Who makes the best battery charger the kind with 2 wheels that charges 6 and 12 volt? Is Napa any good? Thanks and God Bless
The newer “smart” charger may not charge a battery that is completely dead. For those batteries, you have to charge them awhile with a “dumb” ( older) charger and you need at least a couple of volts in the battery before the smart charger decides it will charge it.are old Napa analog charger died so we got a smart charger and it said “battery is to dead to charge” IS THAT NOT WHY I PUT YOU ON THERE so anyways we got a associated charger and it’s a lot better
I've heard that you can trick them into starting with a 9-volt battery. The newer “smart” charger may not charge a battery that is completely dead. For those batteries, you have to charge them awhile with a “dumb” ( older) charger and you need at least a couple of volts in the battery before the smart charger decides it will charge it.
IMO, the best wheeled chargers are the older ones that have real copper wiring and you pick them up on a garage sale for a couple of bucks.
They don’t have wheels, but the best battery charger to top off a battery are the small box chargers that you hook up for a long period of time because they only put out 1-2 amps.
